  • Name of the activity: Flocabulary
    • Watch this Flocabulary video on career paths and then get creative. Explain about the career you want to pursue. Learn about some of the things listed in the video. Use powerpoints, essay, poster board; be creative. Link

  • Name of the activity: If you were president
    • If you were president during the coronavirus pandemic, what exactly would you do to help the citizens and individuals like yourself who are staying home during quarantine?

Classroom 8th: Career Activity

  • Name of the activity: Exploring my future
    • Do a search on what are the benefits of the professional career in which you would like to work. Make a list or paragraph explaining those benefits

  • Name of the activity: Breaking News
    • Create your own newscast, you must have the following: Name of the newscast (you have to invent it) Three news that are health, technology, and sports or some important event that happens. You have to record a video where it appears giving a brief summary of the 3 news. Minimum of 3-5 minutes. You can use YouTube to watch a video to help you with your activity.

    • Take a quiz based on career clusters to see/determine what career path you may like or dislike. Watch this youtube video. Then utilize the next link to take the quiz and submit your results on google classroom: Link

    • Come up with a 5 step plan to reach your dream job. Research what job/career interests you and how to begin working towards that dream job. In your own words, what would you have to do to get there?

    • What do you want to be when you’re older: Find a video on YouTube that provides information about your career. Then answer the following questions: Why did you choose that profession? Analyze what you liked the most about the video? What are the steps to make a career in the short or long term?
